Einleitung

Am Institut für Informationsverarbeitung (TNT) werden Methoden zur vollautomatischen Bildanalyse und zur 3D-Rekonstruktion entwickelt. In einer Vielzahl industrieller Anwendungen in Zusammenarbeit mit Kooperationspartnern diverser Branchen werden praxisrelevante Methoden der Computer Vision (Maschinelles Sehen) und der digitalen Bildverarbeitung erforscht und seriennah implementiert.

Aktuelle Forschungsthemen

Früherkennung von Korrosion und Anomalien in Rohrleitungssystemen:

Unerkannte Korrosionsschäden können in Rohrleitungen unkalkulierbare ökonomische und ökologische Kosten zur Folge haben. Die frühzeitige Erkennung solcher Schäden (predictive maintenance) erfolgt aus Kostengründen in der Praxis durch passiv betriebene Roboter, welche im laufenden Betrieb durch das Rohrleitungssystem geschleust werden.
Solche Roboter zeichnen indes riesige Datenmengen auf. In diesem Projekt werden daher u.a. Methoden des maschinellen Lernens adaptiert sowie neuartige Verfahren entwickelt, welche die vollautomatische Analyse dieser Sensordaten erlauben.

Plagiatserkennung für metallische Bauteile:

Plagiate stellen Unternehmen des Maschinen- und Anlagenbaus vor große Herausforderungen. Sie führen zu hohen Umsatzverlusten und teuren Gewährleistungsfällen. Bisherige Verfahren zur Plagiatserkennung erfordern auf- oder eingebrachte Marker. Spanend gefertigte Bauteile weisen allerdings im Mikrometerbereich eine eindeutige, individuelle Oberflächentopografie auf. Mittels 2D-Signalverarbeitungsverfahren lässt sich hieraus eine Signatur extrahieren, die direkt nach der Fertigung in einer Datenbank abgelegt wird. Zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt, etwa während der Wartung, lässt sich dann dieser »Fingerabdruck« erneut bestimmen und mit dem in der Datenbank hinterlegten abgleichen. Falls die Signatur nicht wiedererkannt wird, handelt es sich um eine Fälschung.

Kamerakalibrierung:

Zur Schätzung von Kameralinsenparametern (u. a. Fisheye- und Weitwinkelobjektive) werden musterbasierte Methoden erforscht , wie z. B. der Multimodus-Kalibrierungsansatz, der darauf abzielt, die Kalibrierungsparameter zwischen mehreren Erfassungsmodi zu übertragen.

Externen Kameraparameter können durch unseren Offset-Korrektur-Ansatz mit periodischen Kalibrierungsmustern bestimmt werden. Am TNT werden darüberhinaus Kalibrierungsansätze erforscht, die kein künstliches Kalibrierungsobjekt erfordern.
